Edgecomb Eddy School Families,

As the annual school budget vote approaches, the Edgecomb Eddy School Board would like to offer some information about the budget and the voting process.

● All municipal Edgecomb voting takes place on Saturday May 17th.

● The school budget will be set in an open meeting starting at 10 am at Town Hall and residents must be present for the entire meeting to vote on all articles.

● EES staff will be providing additional information on opportunities for fun and games for children at Edgecomb Eddy School so families can attend and vote.

● Other town warrants and officer elections will take place by referendum ballot at Town Hall anytime from 1 to 7 pm or by absentee ballot.

As you may know, school budgets are funded in large part by local property taxes, and deserve attention, scrutiny, and transparency. Given last year’s tax increase, questions about the school budget are at an all time high, and rightfully so. However, some information being shared throughout the community is incomplete and misleading. Information about the voting process and all municipal warrant articles will be shared at a May 7th meeting at 6 pm Town Hall, and elected officials will answer questions about the articles to be voted on at that time.

The board also recognizes that families are busy, and often cannot attend school board, budget, or selectboard meetings to hear full explanations of the complex and detailed budget process. So, please consider accessing a full explanation of the warrant articles and voting process at Warrant Articles 2025 , consider watching other videos at the same channel, and please reach out to your board members with any questions.

We hope to see you at 10 am Saturday May 17th at Edgecomb Town Hall.
