Rotary distributes protective masks to schools, police and fire departments
The Rotary Club of Boothbay Harbor has received 2,500 safety masks from the the Million Mask Challenger Tour. This tour has distributed one million protective masks, donated by a Rotarian in Connecticut, to Rotary Clubs throughout New England. We are gifting our grassroots first responders, essential workers and schools in the Boothbay region and Wiscasset with the 2,500 safety masks.
Current CDC information indicates that the need for masks has increased and not decreased as we had hoped. Our priority as a local Rotary Club is to do all that we can to ensure the safety of all our front line workers. Rotary remains committed to serving our local communities in ways that ensure their well-being. This mask distribution is but the latest attempt to provide that service.
